Cash for Clunkers is inspiring other businesses to figure out ways to get people to spend money.
One spinoff is called “Cash for Cribs.”
Toys-R-Us is starting a program to let customers trade in used cribs, car seats and other things to get a 20 percent discount at the store.
Only certain items qualify for that special discount.
There’s no limit on the number of trade-ins.
The program ends on September 20.
