Lights and decorations can make for a festive holiday, but if you aren't careful there are dangers that come with those decorations.
The Electrical Safety Foundation International is helping you stay away from dangerous displays.
Before hanging lights, check for frayed wires or broken bulbs.
Make sure you don't overload electrical outlets. And turn off or unplug lights before you go to bed and leave the house.
Experts also say to keep kids and pets away from smaller decorations. They can try and swallow them and choke.
