Buy only age-appropriate toys.

Toys with small parts are not safe for children under three and should be clearly marked.

Always remove the packaging from a toy before giving it to a child,

And check old and new toys for damages, such as sharp edges.

Emergency rooms see an estimated 217 thousand toy-related injuries each year.
