Gas prices in our state are on their way down.

Retail prices for gas dropped by two and a half cents in the past week.

The state average now sits at two dollars and 63 cents a gallon.

That's still a bit lower than the national average, which is at two dollars and 66 cents.

North Carolina gas prices went up almost 76 cents in the past year.
