We've seen gas prices spike over the last month.

The national average for a gallon is $2.75.

It's lower in North Carolina.

The states' average price hovers at $2.71 a gallon.

It's cheapest in the western part of the state.

Gas sells for $2.56 a gallon in Greensboro.
