LOS ANGELES (AP) - It's hard enough accepting Fred Durst as a film director, but get used to the idea of him being a family film director. Durst has piloted a new PG-rated movie called "The Longshots," coming out Friday. It's about a girl who becomes a quarterback and her loser uncle who drinks all the time, played by Ice Cube. Durst tells the Los Angeles Times he always wanted to do movies and he directed most of Limp Bizkit's videos. He says, "I always loved music, but that's one slice of the pie." "The Longshots" is Durst's second movie. His first was "The Education of Charlie Banks" that played at film festivals, and will hit theaters in October.
