LONDON (AP) - Singer Amy Winehouse will not attend the Grammys, but she'll still be there -- by the magic of technology.
The U.S. Embassy in London denied Winehouse's application for a visa. However, an executive close to the Grammys tells The Associated Press that Winehouse will perform by satellite at Sunday's ceremony in New York.
Winehouse is up for six Grammys.
The U.S. Embassy declined to say why Winehouse's application was rejected. Her spokesman says he has nothing to add.
Her publicity firm says Winehouse has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago.
