Court commissioner gives Britney Spears' father power to fire manager

»  Comments | Post a Comment

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Britney Spears' father has approval from a court to send the singer's business manager packing.

Documents show the court commissioner also ordered the business manager, Howard Grossman, to turn over "all documents, records and assets relating to Britney Spears" to Spears' dad, James Spears.

James Spears is the court-appointed conservator of his daughter and of her estate.

The order comes a day after the commissioner held an emergency closed-door hearing.

The hearing was on a motion brought by James Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who is part of the conservatorship.

Spears' parents had said they feared their daughter's life was at risk after she was released from a hospital psychiatric ward on Wednesday.
