McConaughey, Hudson find $22M in 'Gold' with treasure romance

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have struck gold.


Their romantic comedy "Fool's Gold" was number one at the box office this weekend, opening with 22 million dollars in ticket sales.


Martin Lawrence's "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" also debuted this weekend, taking in 17.1 million dollars for the number two spot.


Last week's number one, Disney's "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert," dropped to number three. The film took in 10.5 million dollars, a sharp fall from the more-than-31 million on its opening weekend. The film has grossed 53.4 million dollars in 10 days.


"The Eye" and "Juno" round out this week's top five.
