LOS ANGELES (AP) - The New York Daily News reports Heath Ledger's body is being taken to Australia.

The paper reports the "Brokeback Mountain" actor was flown to a celebrity mortuary in Los Angeles, so friends and relatives could pay their respects. It's now en route to his native Australia.

The 28-year-old died Tuesday in his New York apartment. The cause of death won't been known for at least several more days. Authorities suspect a drug overdose, in part because prescription drugs were found in his apartment.
