LOS ANGELES (AP) - Ticketmaster has agreed to pay back fans who felt cheated when they bought Bruce Springsteen tickets. Fans looking for tickets to two Springsteen concerts in New Jersey last February complained when the concerts seemed to have sold out instantly. They were then redirected to a Ticketmaster subsidiary that offered the tickets at higher prices. Some fans had tried to buy tickets from brokers who offered them but did not actually possess them. A settlement that will be announced today means the fans will be refunded the difference between the face value and the marked-up price. It also means brokers must disclose whether they actually have the tickets. Some brokers rely on artists to release tickets that they've held back for their friends and family.
