LOS ANGELES (AP) - John Fogerty is leaning country these days but he'll get an honor in May for being pop. Fogerty has been named a BMI Icon. He'll get the honor at the BMI Pop Awards gala on May 18 in Beverly Hills. Highlight of the event is expected to be an all-star musical tribute to Fogerty. They have a lot of songs to choose from since he wrote "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son," "Bad Moon Rising," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Green River," "Travelin' Band," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Centerfield" and many more. John Fogerty's latest album is "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again."
