LOS ANGELES (AP) - Teens with superpowers overpower the competition. "Chronicle" opens at number-one this weekend. The tale of high school kids with superpowers takes in 22 million dollars. Daniel Radcliffe's ghost story "The Woman in Black" opens in a close second, with 21 million. But the rankings could flip when the final figures are released today. "The Grey," slips to third this weekend. The new year is injecting some new life into Hollywood. The total box office take for the first month is up by nearly 15 percent -- over last year's anemic showing.
