NEW YORK (AP) - The original VJs from MTV plan to dish. Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn plan to publish an uncensored oral history of the early days of MTV. The fifth VJ, J.J. Jackson, died in 2004. They did an oral history for MTV last fall but saved their best stories for this book. Their tales include partying with Van Halen and the horrible "Pink Houses" contest with John Mellencamp, in which the house given away was believed to be built on a toxic waste site. The book does not yet have a title or a release date.
