Just Delete It!

This week we take a look at the new Dollar Coin "In God We Trust" e-mail.

The e-mail claims that a new dollar coin issued in June of 2007 purposely omits the words "In God We Trust"

It goes on to infer that the reason is a nefarious government plot to remove any reference to God on the nation's currency.

Just Delete It!

It's true that about 50,000 of the three hundred million coins printed were erroneously struck without the motto which has been a part of the nation's currency since 1938.

It's unknown if the e-mail was inspired by the printing error or the fact that the coin bears the motto on the outer edge instead of the face as we've been accustomed to seeing for years.
