In this week's Just Delete It, we take a look at whether carjackers are placing flyers on rear windshields to steal your car.

The frightening e-mail popping up in inboxes across the country says that when you step out of your car to remove the flyer, the carjackers move in and make off with your car!

Just Delete It!

Folks, this e-mail has been around since 2004 and since that time there’s no evidence of a flyer-armed menace stalking the nation’s parking lots.

In fact, one implausibility sticks out like a sore thumb. Most folks park head-in and when you generally approach your car from the rear upon return, you’d likely remove the flyer before getting in your car.

The e-mail gained some of it’s credibility from being forwarded by some law enforcement agencies over time, but most of them have since posted issued statements of denial online or otherwise.

To learn more, just log on to wnct.com and type in the Keywords: Just Delete It!

And thanks so much to Tennille for helping us to spread the word about this bogus e-mail.
