GREENVILLE-The East Carolina Council of Boy Scouts of America brings a new twist to “door- to-door service” during the annual “Scouting for Food” drive to benefit local agencies, including the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Greenville. The group distributed yellow door hangers on Saturday, February 2nd to communities throughout Pitt County. The Scouts will complete a week long food drive on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, collect the filled bags and deliver the goods to the Food Bank branch in Greenville at 497 West Ninth Street. The Greenville branch of the Food Bank distributes food to Carteret, Craven, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pitt, and Wilson counties.
