The Muscular Dystrophy Association put dozens of people in jail today. Well, kind of. This year the MDA *lock up* was at Outback Steakhouse on Greenville Boulevard.
They had police book participants, get their mug shot made, and then they are taken to their cell, where they call their friends and family to make bail. That bail money goes toward the muscular dystrophy association.
Christine Bender says, "Muscular dystrophy association has been around for along time this is our signature fundraising program and it will provide services for local families."
The MDA says there are 900 families registered with the organization across Eastern North Carolina.
