The fight for premature babies and their moms just got a little bit stronger.
Twenty-three thousand dollars stronger in fact.
It is grant money to the Pitt County Health Department from the March of Dimes North Carolina chapter and it goes to support a pre-pregnancy health community awareness campaign.
The goal is to educate everyone about pre-pregnancy health issues.
The March of Dimes has always tried to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
