This week we take a look at the "Economic Stimulus Issuance" e-mail.
The e-mail, presumably from the IRS, advises that direct deposit is the preferred method for receiving your stimulus payment.
It contains a hyperlink for the reader to click on to update their information.
It warns failure to comply can seriously delay receipt of the stimulus payment.
Just Delete It!
The IRS never initiates contact by e-mail.
Additionally, the IRS never requests personal information via e-mail or account information, pin numbers, etc.
Thanks to Jacob for helping to spread the word about this bogus e-mail.
If you're wondering where your economic stimulus payment is, just type in the Keyword: IRS right here on WNCT.com to find out.
