CHICAGO (AP) - Christian music star Michael W. Smith says he's met with Republican John McCain and has tried, so far without success, to meet with Barack Obama.
Smith says he's concerned that the next president continue President Bush's emergency plan to fight AIDS in Africa.
But whoever wins, Smith says he won't lose faith or stop giving thanks for God's blessings.
While current events can be discouraging, Smith says, "My security's not in the political system. My security rests in something much greater than that."
