A new scam gaining mileage takes advantage of people interested in the government's Cash For Clunkers program.

In this week's Just Delete It, a new e-mail claims that users of the Cash For Clunkers website must agree that their computers become government property.

It says the privacy terms of the website allow the government to seize your personal information stored on the computer and listen to your personal conversations using programs like Skype.

Just Delete It!

There was once a poorly-worded privacy statement on the government site geared toward auto dealers.

However, it never applied to consumers and was changed.

There's no danger of the government driving off with your personal information.
