If you're making your shopping list to head to the supermarket, you can help the environment while you're there.

Grocery stores are making it green to make a difference.

Harris Teeter announced it's expanding its in-store recycling program by putting out bins for plastic bottles and cans.

They already have bins in place to recycle plastic and paper bags.

At Lowes Foods, for every shopping bag you reuse, you get five cents in fresh rewards on your Lowes Reward Card.

You can visit your local grocery store to find out if it offers any eco-friendly incentives.
