Some college students in our state are revving up some eco-friendly engines.
They're making it green and hoping to win some green in the process.
A team of N.C. State students are competing in the "Eco-Car Challenge," a national competition with other colleges to convert a GM vehicle into an electric, hybrid or fuel cell car.
They're take their converted Saturn Vue to Arizona next sprng to compete.
The prize? Up to 80 thousand dollars.
The new Vue will be drivable by March. The team plans to license it.
