One person's trash could be someone else's treasure and help make one city in the east a little greener.

East Carolina University and the city of Greenville are teaming up for this year's Pirates Treasure program.

It's happening December 3rd and 4th from 10 AM - 4 P.M. at the Willis building in downtown Greenville.

Students can drop off unwanted household items like furniture, appliances, clothes and other things.

Those donations will then be given to non-profit organizations to give to needy families.
