One local agency and a big box electronics retailer are teaming up to recycle electronics.

Best Buy and Greenville Public Works are helping Make It Green through e-recycling.

You can take most electronics including computers, TV's and cell phones to your local Best Buy store and they will help recycle those items or even trade them in for a gift card or merchandise.

Organizers say it's a great way to keep electronics out of landfills.

"It's all about the environment. I mean we can't keep throwing this stuff away. The landfills, they just sit and they get bigger and bigger then they close them and build new ones. It's just not the way we should be living," says Susan Daughtry with East Carolina Vocational Center.
