State officials are searching for schools and other groups to help Make It Green.

The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program, or AP-NEP, is looking for proposals for amounts up to 20 thousand dollars a project.

Program officials say the money will go to groups looking to benefit the environment in parts of our state and Virginia.

AP-NEP region is made up of five major river basins, the Chowan, Pasquotank, Roanoke, Tar-Pamlico, and Neuse rivers.

The deadline for applications is December 31st.
