Powering City Vehicles With Recycled Grease

Making it green is also making some people hungry.

Making it green is also making some people hungry.
It’s all thanks to the bio-diesel that's powering city vehicles in one Alabama community.
The bio-diesel that powers the city trucks is made from cooking oil and grease that's been recycled.
The city of Orange Beach says that they will save thousands of dollars in fuel costs alone -- simply by converting the grease into fuel.
They are even finding a way to use what is left over once the grease is turned into fuel.
They plan to use the by-product to make soap and hand sanitizer for shop workers.
