Kids will begin feeding the bin at another school Friday thanks to a grant for NC Beautiful. It's all in an effort to make North Carolina a little greener. EB Aycock Middle School wanted to join 13 other schools in Pitt County in the “Feed the bin” programs, but it had to find money to do it. So special education instructor Laura Brickhouse got a $500 dollar grant from “Windows of Opportunity” to buy the bins.

"I teach students with special needs, and those are going to be the students that are doing all the work. Basically I just wrote the grant but they are going to have to do all the work collecting all the recyclables, putting them in the bins and everything like that,” Brickhouse said.

EB Aycock is the third school in Pitt County to join the “Feed the Bin” program.
