LOS ANGELES (AP) - If you look at the photos people carry in their wallets these days, you're nearly as likely to see fuzzy faces as portraits of the grandkids.
A poll finds that 45 percent of pet owners carry around photos of their pets, whether in their wallets, purses, cell phones, laptops, iPods, iPads or other mobile devices.
According to the Associated Press-Petside.com poll, dog owners are more likely than cat owners to carry pictures, and more women admit doing so than men.
Over half of those under age 50 say they carry pet pictures, but the number diminishes with age. Just under a quarter of those age 65 and up still carry photos of their pets.
The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
