Peter Gabriel wins Polar Music Prize

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Sweden is giving its biggest music prize to Peter Gabriel. Gabriel will receive the Polar Music Prize at a ceremony later this year in Stockholm, Sweden. The prize comes with $130,000. The prize committee cites Gabriel for “his groundbreaking, outward-looking and boundary-busting artistry.“ Venezuelan composer Jose Antonio Abreu will also receive the prize.
