Steve Miller Band guitarist Norton Buffalo dies

UNDATED (AP) - Guitarist Norton Buffalo of the Steve Miller Band has died. He had been battling lung and brain cancer and died Friday at the age of 58. Buffalo played in the Steve Miller Band for 34 years. Miller says on his Web site, “There are some people who pass through this world who are so unique and special they defy description and Norton Buffalo was one of those people.“ The Steve Miller Band will take some time off, and they plan to resume their tour Friday in Newark, New Jersey.
