Our look at what’s happening across the east today includes an important program parents will want to take note of.

The first of three sexual abuse training events will be held in Greenville today.
   
The “Stewards of Children” program helps adults prevent, recognize, and react to child sexual abuse.
   
The two and a half hour training program will be held tonight from six to 8:30 at Sheppard Memorial Library.
