The search is on for a shooter who put a young boy in the hospital.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says around 10:45 last night someone drove by a home on Bailey Road in Williamston and fired at least one shot.
   
When deputies got there, they found a 12-year-old boy who was shot.
   
He was airlifted to PCMH.  At last check, the boy was in fair condition.

Martin County deputies are investigating a shooting that left a 12 year old boy hospitalized.

Officials tell us around 11pm last night a car drove by a residence on Bailey Road and opened fire. The 12 year old, who was inside at the time, was hit.

He is at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
