Authorities in Pamlico County Continue to Search for Missing Teen

    Pamlico County Sheriffs joined with the Marines and the Coast Guard in their search to find a missing teen.
    The Coast Guard was alerted at 6:30 this morning and was told that a teen went missing in the Neuse River near Oriental.
    Three teens were out on a jet ski and only two had life jackets.
    While they were swimming the teen without a life jacket was struggling.
    The other two teens tried to get a life jacket to the struggling teen—then the teen went under and did not come back up.
    A rescue boat—along with a Marine Corps helicopter crew and the Pamlico County Sheriff marine patrol boat are continuing their search.
