As you put the final touches on your Thanksgiving meals today, state health officials want you to be extra careful.
First, wash you hands and cutting surfaces with soap and water,   
Clean your food thermometer after using it, bacteria can spread from knives and cutting boards.
Separate raw, cooked, and ready to eat foods to prevent bacteria from spreading.
Also, heat the turkey to at least 165 F.
Check that temperature in the innermost part of the thigh and wing, and the thickest part of the breast.
Cook casseroles that have eggs to a temperature of at least 160 F.
