New Bern Man Arrested for Rape

Angelo Tavares WILLIAMS, 06/01/1975, of 341 Fox Chase Village was arrested Saturday.

He is charged with Second Degree Forcible Rape for an incident that took place early Saturday morning at a residence in the Copperfield Apartments complex.  The victim was in New Bern visiting her cousin.  Both women were at the residence at the time of the assault and reported the incident to police. WILLIAMS was a friend of the victim’s cousin.

WILLIAMS was placed in the Craven County jail under a $200,000 bond.
