One of the 27 inmates who may be released from prison early because of a Court of Appeals ruling, is accused of committing another crime while on work release.

Steven Wilson was convicted of raping a 9-year-old Kinston girl in 1978.

In 1990, while Wilson was working at a Nashville, North Carolina fast food store, the parents of a 7-year-old girl accused him of sexually assaulting her in a bathroom of the store.

Wilson was never charged. He was simply removed from work release and there was some internal prison discipline. It apparently did not affect his good behavior credits.

My opinion - If proven guilty - sex offenders who raped or assaulted a juvenile should have their privates removed and never be able to feel the sensation again. Their victim will always be haunted for the rest of their life - they should be too.
