A total of four people are now dead from Saturday’s fireworks explosion on Ocracoke Island.
The fifth and final member of that crew remains hospitalized.
The deadly accident happened while they unloaded a truck full of fireworks for the show.
One of the victims died instantly.
A second died Saturday afternoon at Pitt county Memorial Hospital.
The third died last night at the UNC burn center in Chapel Hill and the fourth at PCMH.
The FBI, the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Company and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives evaluated the scene.
The injured workers worked for Melrose South Polytechnics, a company out of South Carolina.
The company was putting on the fireworks show and has also sent a team to investigate.
The ATF determined the cause of the explosion was accidental.
Hyde County held a memorial parade in their honor this afternoon.
The lone survivor of the fireworks team is in fair condition with burns on over 20 percent of his body.
He’s being treated at the burn center in Chapel Hill.
