Women with Disabilities Peer Support Group

The support group for Women with Disabilities met this afternoon at Eastern Carolina Vocational Center. The idea is for this group to share experiences of living with disabilities. They meet the last Thursday of every month at ECVC in Greenville from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Ladies we spoke with say they want to build a stronger network of women with disabilities in the East.
Frances Thompson says the goal of the meetings is to: “Maybe give resources, troubleshooting of the things they’ve been through themselves that maybe somebody can gain from their experiences, but just to be here to support one another.“ Women with cross disabilities interested in joining the support group can call (252) 355-6215.
