A bus accident.  Palin versus Biden.  Wounded Warriors and dogs.  All of these touched an emotional chord with our viewers this week.

In tonight’s Viewer’s Voice, first we hear from Cardonia, “It seems like ya’ll have been a little biased with your news coverage.  Every time we turn on there’s something on the news concerning Palin, but what about Biden?  He’s the other vice president that’s running.“

That’s a touchy subject in election season.  Here’s what happened.  Palin came to Greenville, which is part of our viewing area, so we covered that. Biden has not come to our viewing area yet.

From a concerned citizen, who blames an accident on another citizen who saw a downed stop sign and did not report it, “The DOT can only do so much. They can only cover so much area and it’s up to the citizens and everybody else to be vigilant to see if they see anything, a problem like that, a sign down.  They need to report it so they can take prompt action.“

You’re right and we did show the DOT making exactly that point: that people need to report downed signs, because they have 1,400 miles of road to cover with a 2 person crew.

And this on a WNCT.com story, “This story did my heart good to read.  I just love how the program allows brig detainees to be productive and allowed to still feel a part of something so beneficial as training a working dog for their wounded comrades.  I am a very proud mother of a Marine as well as an owner of a lab.  This article hit home!!!“

Thank you for checking out our website for that story about the first Wounded Warrior to receive a service dog trained by fellow Marines.

We appreciate all of you who wrote and called for this week’s Viewer’s Voice.
