BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - Three years after winning the Oscar for best director, Martin Scorsese is being honored by the Golden Globes people. He’ll get their version of lifetime achievement award. It’s the Cecil B. DeMille award. Vera Farmiga, who starred in Scorsese’s movie, “The Departed,“ says working with Scorsese is special because “he makes it a holy experience, like a televangelist.“ She says “he has the power to rouse a crowd and bring them along his holy mission. He considers it holy work. And cinema is his shrine.“ Scorsese will be honored at the Golden Globes January 17 in Beverly Hills.
