LOS ANGELES (AP) - On what would have been her 71st birthday, Suzanne Pleshette now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The star is in front of the lingerie shop, Frederick's of Hollywood. The location was her choice.

The ceremony comes not quite two weeks after Pleshette's death from respiratory failure. She'd been treated for lung cancer in 2006.

Pleshette's co-stars from "The Bob Newhart Show" were at the unveiling. Newhart honored the woman who played his wife by saying "The only thing that exceeds her talent and her beauty was her bravery, because she was one of the greatest women."

Another co-star, Marcia Wallace, says Pleshette "left footprints on her heart" and would "love it" that fans will leave "footprints on her star."

Pleshette's pal Tina Sinatra accepted the star for her friend.
