LOS ANGELES (AP) - A judge in Los Angeles has given “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest some much needed elbow room from a man arrested on suspicion of stalking him. Court records in Los Angeles indicate Seacrest’s lawyers got the stay-away order hours after they say the man was detained Friday at the E! Entertainment TV headquarters in L.A., one of the places where Seacrest works. The court docs say the man was carrying a knife and was trying to see Seacrest. The man, Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., is already on probation for another incident involving Seacrest. Court records show he pleaded guilty in Orange County last month to three misdemeanors: carrying a switchblade knife, assault and battery. He was charged after he attacked one of Seacrest’s bodyguards outside an event. A hearing has been set for later this month to see about extending the stay-away order.
