CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Billy Graham Library will close for three months next year for renovations.
The Charlotte Observer reports that the museum-style library honoring the 91-year-old evangelist will close Jan. 9 and reopen April 1.
Spokeswoman Lauren Horton says audio improvements are needed because the sounds from various exhibits are bleeding together. The renovations also will include more video offerings in an exhibit on Graham’s years on radio and television.
The $27 million library opened in 2007 and attracted 165,000 visitors in its first year.
The library grounds, including Billy Graham’s boyhood home and the grave of his wife, Ruth, will remain open during the renovations.
