Dream Factory Helps Kids Get Their Wish

    They call it the Dream Factory for a very good reason.
    It’s an organization that’s dedicated to granting wishes to children who are seriously ill.
    On Sunday, supporters took some short cuts to help make it happen.
    The Dream Factory tried to raise money for those wishes it can’t pull out of a hat.
    It hosted the second annual “Buzz-Red, White and Blue” event on the Greenville Town Common.
    Our very own Brian Bailey emceed the event and heckled police and fire fighters as they got buzz cuts, one at a time.
    A typical dream can cost several thousand dollars.
    Organizers wanted to raise enough money today to pay for at least two of them.
    Volunteers say their new, short lids are kind of an old hat.   
    “I’ve actually been bald before. Back when I was in college I used to shave my head bald and paint it like a basketball during basketball season. So it’s not the first time,“ said Greenville firefighter Chase Smith.
