WASHINGTON, N.C. - Some kids are getting an interactive lesson on friendship from a man with big red shoes.

Ronald McDonald visited Eastern Elementary in Washington today to bring students the “Friendship Adventure”.

The program allows kids to dance, laugh and sing, all while learning the power of friendship.

Officials say it’s good to stop bullying at an early age and help kids work out their problems.

“A lot of these kids are learning how to put together their social skills, how to meet kids, how to be a friend and with this show, Ronald’s emphasis is on how to treat people nicely and how you can be a friend to everybody and how to handle when there is a bully, what you can do,“ said Elizabeth Piconi, Guidance Counselor, Eastern Elementary.

The 45-minute show was for kids first grade and younger.
