Here’s a look at what’s happening across the east today.

The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual education summit.
   
The summit will feature Doctor William Harrison, chairman of the State Board of Education.
   
It will begin tonight at six.

And J.H. Rose High School will hold a city council debate tonight.
   
The debate will focus on youth and local issues.
   
It will be held in the lecture hall starting at 6:30.

And Pitt County law enforcement will be going door to door in Grimesland to spread the word about Project Safe Neighborhoods, which targets gun crime.
   
They’ll be out on the streets from six to eight tonight.
