Pitt County fair kicks off with a soggy start

This soggy weather isn’t exactly what some people wanted to see.
   
Those are the people putting on the Pitt County Fair.

All the food stands and rides are ready to go.
   
In fact, the rides opened to the public at six o’clock.
   
There are three new rides this year including G-Force.
   
As always, there are plenty of ribbons attached to all sorts of items in the display hall.

Opening ceremonies took place a little more than an hour ago at five, Monday afternoon.
   
The fair runs through midnight Saturday.
