Get ready to pay more if you plan to fly anywhere over the holidays.
Fares for thanksgiving weekend alone jumped 10 percent.
Airlines raised their prices this week and they also tacked on a $10 surcharge for travelling on peak days like the Saturday before Christmas.
Last year’s good deals on last minute tickets won’t be there this time around if you wait to book a trip.
“If you wait until after November 1st to buy your ticket, you’re going to probably end up with some of the steepest prices you’ve ever paid for holiday travel,“ said Rick Seaney of Farecompare.com.
This is just one way that airlines are tightening their belts.
    They cut flights.
That means fewer seats and bargains.
Travel experts say being flexible is the easiest way to get a deal this year.
